Seahawks cut former Husky QB Price

The Seattle Seahawks’ relationship with former University of Washington star quarterback Keith Price was brief.

Seattle cut Price on Monday among four roster moves. Price and defensive end Kenneth Boatright were released. Veteran defensive tackle Kevin Williams was officially signed. As was Demitrius Bronson, a bulky running back who started his college career at Washington before finishing at Eastern Washington last season.

Price was invited to Seattle’s rookie minicamp after he was signed as an undrafted free agent. He performed well during the minicamp before seeing his opportunities evaporate during OTAs. Price was one of five quarterbacks — Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson, Terrelle Pryor and B.J. Daniels — on the Seattle roster.

Williams, a veteran defensive tackle who played 11 years with the Minnesota Vikings, signed a one-year deal to join the Seahawks. Williams has been named to six Pro Bowls, but has not been there since 2009.

Bronson was honorable mention All-Big Sky in 2012 as a short-yardage specialist for the Eagles. Bronson finished with 600 career rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, and caught eight career passes for 51 yards. He started 10 of 29 games played.

Boatright was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
