Seahawks defensive line thin because of injuries

RENTON — The Seattle Seahawks are dealing with several injuries along their defensive line ahead of the final preseason game against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night.

Defensive tackles Brandon Mebane and Tony McDaniel are dealing with groin injuries that will force them to miss the preseason finale.

Coach Pete Carroll says he thinks both will be ready for the season opener if their injuries respond to treatment. Jordan Hill is still considered week-to-week with a strained biceps.

Defensive end Michael Bennett missed practice Wednesday because of an injured toe. Carroll says he expects Bennett back after the weekend.

Fullback Michael Robinson remains sidelined because of a virus.
