Here are the Seattle Seahawks’ offensive and defensive snap counts from their 6-6 tie against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday (plays, percentage):
OFFENSE (63)
G Glowinski (63, 100)
G Ifedi (63, 100)
C Britt (63, 100)
T Gilliam (63, 100)
QB Wilson (63, 100)
WR Baldwin (62, 98)
TE Graham (61, 97)
WR Kearse (56, 89)
WR Lockett (49, 78)
RB Michael (46, 73)
T Sowell (39, 62)
T Fant (24, 38)
RB Prosise (16, 25)
WR Richardson (10, 16)
TE Williams (8, 13)
WR McEvoy (4, 6)
TE Vannett (2, 3)
RB Collins (1, 2)
Notes: The most significant change was that starting left tackle Bradley Sowell had to come out of the game because of a sprained MCL in his knee. He was replaced by undrafted rookie George Fant, a former college basketball player who received his first significant playing time in his NFL career. Everything else is pretty much what one would expect, with Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham maybe playing a few more plays than usual.
DEFENSE (95)
SS McCray (95, 100)
FS Thomas (95, 100)
CB Sherman (95, 100)
CB Shead (95, 100)
LB Wagner (94, 99)
LB Wright (93, 98)
CB Lane (82, 86)
DE Bennett (81, 85)
DE Avril (77, 81)
DE Clark (55, 58)
DT Rubin (52, 55)
DT McDaniel (50, 53)
DE Marsh (30, 32)
DT Reed (23, 24)
DT Siliga (23, 24)
LB Tripp (2, 2)
FS Terrell (2, 2)
LB Coyle (1, 1)
Notes: The number that stands out most by far is the 95 plays. The Seahawks’ defense is typically on the field somewhere in the 60s. I can’t imagine how exhausted those players must have been after the game. Cornerback Jeremy Lane being on the field 86 percent of the time indicates Seattle was in its nickel defense most of the game. Wright missed a couple plays after getting shaken up and Wagner missed a single play to get an IV. Just re-signed defensive tackle Sealver Siliga received a decent run-out.
