The Snohomish boys soccer team is off to a good start this season and folks have taken notice.
The Panthers, who are 5-0 on the young season and have outscored opponents 11-2, are ranked No. 1 in the Seattle Times’ Class 4A state boys soccer rankings and have moved up to No. 12 in the latest Powerade Fab 50 national boys soccer rankings on ESPNHS.
The only other local school in the Seattle Times’ rankings is Marysville Getchell, which is ranked No. 10 in the Class 3A rankings, released March 26. That might be short-lived, however, after the Chargers lost 7-0 to Shorewood Tuesday night.
Snohomish host Wesco North rival Lake Stevens on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. For updates of the game, follow Herald writer Aaron Lommers on Twitter.
