Shorewood’s Josh Wilkes batted 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and freshman Ian Oxnebad pitched a complete game to earn his first win of the season as the Thunderbirds beat Lynnwood. … Glacier Peak’s Branson Barnecut finished 3-for-3 with a double as the Grizzlies beat Marysville Getchell to create a three-way tie for second place in Wesco 3A. … Meadowdale’s Ethan Coffey hit a three-run home run in the first inning and Sam Herzer and Chris Jenkins combined on a one-hitter as the Mavericks ran their winning streak to seven in a Wesco 3A win over Everett. … Lake Stevens Jake Nelson hit a grand slam as the Vikings beat rival Snohomish to clinch at least a share of the Wesco North title. … Edmonds-Woodway’s Jorgen Arnesen homered at the plate and earned the win on the mound, striking out seven in five shutout innings to lead the Warriors past Mariner.

SOFTBALL STARS

Mountlake Terrace’s Rene Bos pitched five innings, gave up one hit and struck out eight and Maddy Kiristjanson went 4-for-4 with a double, a home run and three runs scored as the Hawks beat Oak Harbor. … Monroe’s Alyssa Egan struck out 10 and went 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs scored and an RBI as the Bearcats beat Jackson in a Wesco 4A crossover game.

BOYS SOCCER STARS

Glacier Peak’s Branson Corwin had two goals for Glacier Peak, including one late in the first half off of an assist from goalkeeper Jesus Mendoza, who also had the shutout for the Grizzlies in a win over Mountlake Terrace. … Snohomish’s Wesley Clark scored two goals to go along with one assist to lead the Panthers past Stanwood.

GOLF STARS

Jackson’s Leah Shin scored 24 modified Stableford points over nine holes at Walter Hall Golf Course in a match against Cascade and Arlington.

TRACK STARS

Cascade’s Tay’lor Eubanks jumped 47 feet, 2.5 inches in the triple jump to record the longest jump in the state so far this season. … Lake Stevens’ Paul LaBreche set personals records in the 100- (11.80) and 200-meter dashes (24.10) to win both events. … Stanwood’s Samantha McGee set a PR in the 100 hurdles (15.90) to win the event 1.4 seconds. … Marysville Getchell’s Briaunna Heacock set a PR and won the 3,200 (12:21.52) by more than a minute. … Coupeville’s Mitch Pelroy won the 100, 200, and 400 and Sultan’s Madison Stillwell won the girls shot and discus in a meet at Lakewood.
