Tuesday Seahawks links: a good defense gets even better

The Seahawks were pretty darn good defensively last season. This year, they’re even better, leading the NFL in points and yards allowed, and the numbers are impressive in a lot of other areas. I dig into that topic in today’s Herald.

Three things we learned and three things we’re still trying to figure out about the Seahawks from Danny O’Neil of 710 ESPN Seattle.

Dave Boling of the News Tribune on how the loss in San Francisco might have helped the Seahawks.

TheMMQB.com has a look at Russell Wilson through the eyes of FB Michael Robinson.

And speaking of Wilson, Seahawks.com puts its focus on the quarterback.

Are you one of the many Seahawks fans who gets tired of hearing the Fox duo of Chris Myers and Tim Ryan call so many games? Well it turns out you have some evidence for not liking their work. SportsOnEarth.com came up with a formula to judge the work of NFL announcers, and sure enough, Myers and Ryan were one of the worst teams.

It’s hardly a surprise, but the Seahawks are on top of just about any power ranking you can find this week, including ESPN.com’s and ProFootballTalk.com’s.

Arizona’s star receiver Larry Fitzgerald suffered a concussion last week, making him a question mark for Sunday’s game in Seattle.

Peter King’s weekly mailbag at TheMMQB.com addresses Seattle’s ability to produce so many quality cornerbacks.
