PULLMAN — Michelle Plouffe scored four points in the final seconds as Utah upset Washington State 59-57 Sunday in Pac-12 women’s basketball action.

The loss was the first in conference play for the Cougars (11-7, 5-1 Pac-12).

Utah’s Plouffe tied the score 57-57 with a basket inside then, following a missed shot by WSU, she hit the game-winning layup with 1 second remaining.

The game was close down the stretch, with WSU going up by six points with 3:42 remaining on a Sage Romberg basket. Utah scored the next six points — four by Emily Potter — to knot the game at 53. WSU’s Taylor Edmondson hit a jumper at 1:02 putting WSU up 57-55, setting up Plouffe’s heroics.

Plouffe and Potter scored 17 points each for Utah (8-9, 1-5).

LOS ANGELES — Cassie Harberts scored 30 points to lead Southern Cal to a Pac-12 win over Oregon.

USC (13-6, 6-1 Pac-12) used a 12-1 run to break a 13-13 tie and the Ducks (9-8, 0-6) never recovered as the Trojans opened a 50-32 halftime lead.

USC shot 64.3 percent from the field and reached the 100-point mark for the first time since 2007. The scoring total was the most in a game for the Trojans since 1982.

Harberts was 13 of 19 from the field. Courtney Jaco scored 14 for USC and Ariya Crook had 13.

Oregon made just 4 of 25 3-point attempts, and suffered a drought of more than seven minutes without a field goal in the second half.

Jillian Alleyne had 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead Oregon. Chrishae Rowe added 19 points. Lexi Petersen had 14 points and Drea Toler contributed 12. Cascade High School graduate Danielle Love scored six points for Oregon.
