OAKLAND, Calif. — Stephen Curry delivered the best response to the swirling chatter after his wife Ayesha’s recent Twitter flap.
“I may have to cut the Wi-Fi off at my house,” Curry joked Saturday on the eve of Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Ayesha Curry drew plenty of headlines after the Warriors’ Game 6 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers when she let out her frustration and accused the NBA of rigging the Finals games “for money or ratings.”
She later deleted the tweet and apologized, but the comments by the wife of the two-time MVP haven’t soon been forgotten.
As for the situation, Curry said, “There’s nothing really that’s going to distract me from what’s happening on the court. You’re going to get asked about it and it’s between me and Ayesha, the conversations about what happened.
“Other than that, it doesn’t take any spotlight off of what my job is on the floor and what these next 48 minutes are going to be like in Game 7, so that’s all I’m worried about.”
