The West Coast’s largest floating boat show is camped on south Lake Union in Seattle through Sunday. Times are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends at Chandler’s Cove (901 Fairview Ave. N.). Tickets are $14 for adults, $5 for young people ages 12-17, and free for children 11 and under. Also, $7 tickets are available from 4-6 p.m. on weekdays. All-show passes are $25.
Some 50 dealers will show more than 50 boat brands, from sport boats to sailboats to trawlers to mega yachts — and everything in between. Shoreside exhibitors will provide information on marine finance and insurance, electronics, marinas, boat maintenance and more.
If you’ve not been to south Lake Union in a while, seeing the changes in the vibrant community is worth the drive in itself. And a great way to see it is aboard one of the free boat rides offered by the show. Cruise the lake on a free 45-minute sailboat ride or a 20-minute electric boat ride, weekdays 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekends 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Sailboat rides leave on the hour, and electric boat rides leave every 20 minutes. All ages are welcome. Check in at Discover Sailing, booth “M.”
