LYNNWOOD — A Lynnwood-area woman was arrested for investigation of domestic violence assault Aug. 20 after allegedly striking an acquaintance over the head with a Champagne bottle.
The victim told police that the woman, 32, started an argument and he believed she was upset about her hair “not looking right,” according to court papers.
The suspect initially called 911 around 2 a.m. Aug. 20 to report that the man had cut himself and was bleeding from the head.
The man was gone when medics and Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home outside Lynnwood city limits.
The woman said she had heard a crashing sound early Aug. 20 from the front porch, court papers said. She told police she found the man on the porch surrounded by glass with a deep cut on his head.
Two hours later, police caught up with the man.
He said he left earlier because he didn’t want to get the suspect in trouble.
He was taken to Swedish/Edmonds hospital for medical treatment.
When police arrested the woman, she allegedly told a deputy, “I was too scared to tell you because I know it’s assault.”
She then allegedly complained about the condition of her life and began striking her head against the passenger window of the patrol car.
She continued to hit her head until the officer threatened to use pepper spray, court papers said.
