EVERETT — Susan Bonasera has joined the staff of The Herald Business Journal as advertising general sales manager, replacing Jessica Slocum.

Bonasera started her career in publishing in 1999 when she was hired as a retail advertising representative for The Arlington Times, then owned by Sun News. She also worked for a regional senior-living magazine, Little Nickle Publications and the Skagit Valley Herald. Most recently, she was sales manager for the Arlington Times and Marysville Globe, now owned by Sound Publishing Co.

“I love meeting business owners and learning what makes their business unique,” she said. “I value each of my clients and strive to improve their business opportunities with all the avenues available in today’s marketing environment. I am very excited to represent The Herald Business Journal as their new general sales manager.”

Bonasera is married and has lived in the Marysville area for the last 25 years. Her interests include gardening, giant bamboo, tai chi and learning about new teas and red wine from around the world.
