EVERETT — Laura Brent (formerly vice president of Shockey Brent Inc.), planning and permitting expert for more than 30 years in the Puget Sound region, recently announced the establishment of Brent Planning Solutions LLC.

With the business adage of “effective team solutions in project management, environmental and land-use permitting, civil engineering and critical area resources,” Brent is excited about her firm’s approach to land-use planning. Cost-effective solutions for clients that respect the process and environment are the foundation of the firm’s philosophy.

Teaming with experts with a depth of technical and creative skills in transportation, civil engineering and resource planning, Brent Planning Solutions staff will provide full-service project management. Brent has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 1986 and is a member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International.

Joining the firm is Seneca Luetke, Brent’s daughter, who will be an intern from the Community, Environment and Planning program at the University of Washington.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work in my field of study and with someone who is committed to a process that benefits clients and the community, and the job interview process wasn’t bad either,” Leutke said.
