Cascadia Green Building Council’s North Sound LEED user group invites you to attend its brown-bag lunch series of meetings. The group will meet every third Wednesday of the month in the Snohomish County PUD building from noon to 1 p.m. Speakers will be invited to share on current topics; participants are encouraged to bring their questions and a sack lunch to join in the discussion and network with local green professionals.
A full-service deli is located in the PUD lobby. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The presentation begins at noon and will be followed by questions and answers until 1:30 p.m.
This month, Jessica Mitchell, manager of the PUD’s four customer renewable energy programs, including the Solar Express Program, will share information on the solar market and developments that have taken place in recent years. She will provide an update on pricing trends, tax benefits, incentives and utility interconnection issues. The presentation will include several example business cases that can be used as templates to inform your own business decisions and help you assist your clients in their decisions.
Mitchell’s professional background is concentrated in the renewable energy and storage industries, having most recently served as general manager for a company specializing in industrial-scale renewable fuel cell and storage products. She holds a degree in physics from the University of Washington and an MBA from Indiana.
