People Watching: New managers at 1st Security Bank branches

Robert Jorgensen is the new manager for the Edmonds Branch of 1st Security Bank. Jorgensen, who grew up just a half mile from the branch, is a veteran of 12 years in the banking business. He most recently served as manager of the bank’s Canyon Park branch, which he joined in 2008. He resides in Lynnwood.

Melissa Harris is the new manager for the Canyon Park Branch of 1st Security Bank. The Port Angeles native has been with the bank for 12 years, first at the Lynnwood branch then spending the past six years as assistant manager at Canyon Park. Harris, a graduate of Port Angeles High School, resides in Lynnwood.

Cathy Staup has joined RE/MAX Direct Realty in Edmonds as a full-time associate. Staup entered the real estate industry 12 years ago. She specializes in single and multi-family homes, condominium properties, manufactured homes, improved and unimproved land, new construction and presales. During the last 12 years she has worked primarily in King and Snohomish counties.

Canyon Creek Cabinet Company in Monroe announced the addition of Christian Stjern as its new safety manager. Stjern will be responsible for communicating, implementing and monitoring the company’s safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents, and to create protection policies for employees. Previously, Stjern held safety-related positions for construction, pulp and paper and petrochemical companies.

Dr. Kasra Pournadeali, founder and director of the Northwest Center for Optimal Health in Marysville, is the new president of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Pournadeali, who hosts a weekly radio program, is past president of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. He worked to pass legislation to define naturopathic doctors as primary care providers.
