Everett-based Reid Middleton has promoted Suzanne Brendle and Katy Brawner to project engineers. Leah Curulla was hired as marketing coordinator. Former marketing coordinator Erika Welborn is now technical editor. Lance Lum was promoted to senior engineer in the Structural Projects Group and oversees the firm’s office in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Washington Federal has promoted J. Patrick Doud to vice president. Doud, a resident of Tulalip, currently serves as a business banking loan officer in Washington Federal’s Northern Washington Region. Prior to his current role, Doud served Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties as a private banking officer for Union Bank.
SMG has announced the appointment of Angie Mykel as general manager of the Lynnwood Convention Center. Mykel’s appointment was effective Dec. 3. She will direct all aspects of the convention’s center operation, and will work with the Lynnwood Public Facilities District to provide strategic direction to grow the convention and meetings business.
Dianna Bodin has been named senior business banking relationship manager for Wells Fargo in Everett. The 15-year financial services veteran will work with small and medium-sized businesses to provide customized financial solutions. Most recently, Bodin worked as a loan adjuster for Wells Fargo. She started her financial services career as a teller at U.S. Bank.
Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. in Monroe has named Steve Parisee as their new vice president of sales. He will be responsible for all facets of sales operations and new business development. Prior to joining Canyon Creek, Parisee spent over 20 years in the building products industry, and brings a broad range of sales and marketing experience in commercial and residential construction.
Rev. Dr. David Ellingson, professor of children, youth and family studies at Trinity Lutheran College in Everett, has been named a GreenFaith Fellow and will join the 2013 Class of the GreenFaith Fellowship Program. The Fellowship Program prepares lay and ordained leaders from diverse religious traditions for environmental leadership.

The Mountlake Terrace City Council recognized the city’s webmaster, Paul Bishop, owner of PSB Webs, at the Nov. 19 meeting. Bishop has maintained the city’s website for more than five years and has been on call seven days a week.
The City of Mountlake Terrace has recognized employees for service and notable accomplishments. Employee of the Year Award honors went to Leslie Choate. Sonja Springer received the Outstanding Leadership Award. The Customer Service Award went to Annie Perry. The Connecting with the Community Award was given to Jacob Milner. Chad Schulhauser received the Rookie of the Year Award. The Commissioned Police Officer of the Year Award went to Scott King. Unsung Hero Awards were bestowed on Chad Phelan, Lori Johnson and Elena McKee.
Edmonds author Robbie Holz has been honored with another book award for “Journey to the Heart: Secrets of Aboriginal Healing,” which was co-authored with her late husband Dr. Gary Holz. The book won the 2012 USA Best Book Award and is a finalist in the Multicultural Nonfiction category by USA Book News. It also won the 2012 Nautilus Silver Medal and was a finalist for the Foreword Review 2011 Book of the Year.
Professional organizer Monika Kristofferson of the Lake Stevens-based organizing company Efficient Organization recently celebrated six years in the organizing business. Kristofferson also furthered her training and became a GO System business productivity consultant. Efficient Organization offers consultations and hands-on organizing as well as seminars, productivity training and motivation.
