Town hall meetings will be held Feb. 25
State lawmakers from the 21st District are holding two town hall meetings Feb. 25. The district includes Edmonds, Mukilteo, Lynnwood and portions of Mountlake Terrace and Everett.
Sen. Paull Shin, and Reps. Mary Helen Roberts and Marko Liias will speak about the legislative session and answer questions from the community.
Times and locations for the town halls are:
• 10:30-11:30 a.m., Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.
• 1:30-2:30 p.m., Edmonds City Council Chambers, 250 Fifth Ave.

MLT Citizens Academy set
March 30 is the deadline to apply for the next Police Citizens Academy. That 12 week session begins April 12 and runs through June 28 on Thursday nights from 6-9 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W.
Space is limited to the first 30 people accepted. Early registration is recommended.

New planning commissioner
The Mountlake Terrace City Council has appointed Logan Galyan to fill an interim vacancy on the Planning Commission.
The term runs through June 30, 2014. Galyan served on the Recreation and Parks Advisory Commission since February 2011.
Mayor plans February ‘Office Hour’
Edmonds’ Mayor Dave Earling invites the Edmonds community to join him for a one-on-one meeting during his “Office Hour.”
The events are scheduled for the second and fourth Fridays of each month. The upcoming meeting will be held 8 to 9 a.m. Feb. 24 at City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N.
