How does it feel to open a box of serenity? Peaceful. Rejuvenating. Soulful. When you walk through the doors at Tulalip Resort Casino’s T Spa, that is essentially what you are doing — opening a box of serenity.

The spa was designed to take you on a meandering, restful journey through nature. Pacific Northwest architecture, restful lighting and simple notes of luxury create a soothing atmosphere, perfect to transport you from the hectic moments in your life.

Spa treatments available at the T Spa are wide-ranging. Skin care services, hand and foot treatments, makeup artistry, waxing services — all lend themselves to the revitalizing spirit of the T Spa.

“For December we are featuring our amazing aromatherapy massage,” Norma Hughes, spa director, said. “It is perfect to build your immune system and give you the boost you need for winter.” The treatment is available in 50- or 80-minute increments and, during December, is available with an upgrade to include the use of organic sweet grass oil.

A wildflower manicure, $75, is the perfect end to a day filled with holiday shopping. For the expectant mother, the gift of a mother-to-be massage, $120, is ideal to soothe tired muscles.

And for the hard-working father, a deep tissue therapeutic massage, $120, is a well-deserved opportunity to relax over the Christmas holidays.

Couples wishing for a day of repose can enjoy the VIP Couple’s Suite. This exclusive suite has a fireplace, seating area and a couple’s shower, which provides the feel of a lavish vacation.

Hughes noted that each spa treatment includes added amenities. “When you visit, allow yourself time in the cedar saunas and eucalyptus steam rooms,” she said. Guests of the spa may also enjoy the hotel’s lounge area and climate controlled Oasis Pool.

Another convenience of the T Spa is its retail area, which features a wide array of spa products and gift items. Products from Thalgo, Spa Ritual, Murad and the locally made Purple Haze Lavender Collection are ideal stocking stuffers.

The Mikmaq Sweet Grass Collection is a line of body products that Hughes recommends. “It takes one year to prepare the infusions that go into these wonderful products,” she said. “The products are always made in small batches and infused with spirit.”

Perhaps the most versatile gift is a gift card handsomely presented in its own display envelope. Available for any amount over $25, a gift card provides flexibility to the recipients, allowing them to use the dollar amount toward the service most desired. “They also never expire,” Hughes noted.

The T Spa is open to the public Sunday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

An extensive menu of services and a list of monthly specials are listed on Tulalip Resort Casino’s Web site. “With any service in the month of December, we are offering a brow or lip wax for only $15,” Hughes said. “This is a great way to be perfectly groomed for all of those holiday get-togethers.”
