Assault victim in hospital, his assailants in jail

LYNNWOOD — A man remained at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Sunday after he suffered severe head injuries when he was kicked by three men and a woman outside the 13th Avenue Pub & Eatery at 164th Street SW and 13th Avenue W. in the Lynnwood area. No details of his condition were available.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an argument among the patrons. The argument progressed into the parking lot, where the four kicked the victim, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said. Deputies arrested the three alleged assailants, who were booked into Snohomish County Jail on investigation of assault.
Deputies and aid personnel responded to a 911 call about 5:30 p.m. in the 800 block of 112th Street SW in the Everett area. The girl was transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she was listed in satisfactory condition.
The girl’s father, 34, is a single parent who had four children from 3 to 8 years old at home, Jorgensen said. Deputies stood by until relatives came to pick up the other three children. The man went to the hospital in Seattle to be with his daughter, she said.
Deputies are investigating how the girl got possession of the gun.
Richard C. McDaniel, 50, and Cindy L. McDaniel, 49, of Sultan were in a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup westbound on U.S. 2 about 6:40 p.m. A second, unknown vehicle was northbound on Gunn Road. The unknown vehicle collided with the rear of the Dodge, causing it to spin in a full circle, then rollover and strike a tree. The unknown vehicle fled north on Pickle Farm Road.
