Does anybody feel safer one year later?

We just marked the first anniversary of the beginning of the current war in Iraq. More than 650 coalition troops have been killed and at least 3,200 have been injured. Thousands of Iraqis have been killed or injured. No weapons of mass destruction have been found. So, why was this war was necessary? I certainly do not feel any safer from terrorist threats because of this war, do you?
