Edmonds
Sponsors can help support Yost Pool
The Edmonds parks department is accepting banners and billboards to help sponsor the 2005 season at Yost Pool.
The pool opens May 28 for its 33rd season. Banners and billboards will be put up around the pool, with proceeds supplementing city funds to finance operations and aquatic programs this summer.

Port Gardner residents to meet
The Port Gardner Neighborhood Association will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Port of Everett offices, 2911 Bond St.
Stan Price of Covenant Art Glass will talk about his job and how to participate in art glass classes.
Bob Jackson, committee chairman of the Forgotten Creek project, will show a brief film produced for a Starbucks grant program. The film profiles the history of the project.
Neighbors will also discuss the Rucker Hill utility underground project and make nominations for the executive board.

Women’s swim Sunday at YMCA
The Woman to Woman Project hosts a swim time for women and children 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Everett Family YMCA, 2720 Rockefeller Ave. A donation of $1 is requested.

Camano quilters show, walk today
Camano Island Quilters is having its first Quilt Walk in conjunction with its ninth annual quilt show. More than 30 businesses in downtown Stanwood are displaying the quilts until Thursday.
The show will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today and Saturday at Stanwood High School, 7400 272nd St. NW. It features more than 200 quilts on display.
American Indian genealogy tips
Linda Blackinton will be the guest speaker of the Genealogical Society of South Whidbey Island at 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 18341 Highway 525 in Freeland.
Blackinton will talk about resources and techniques for researching American Indian ancestors.

Concert Saturday at Calvary Chapel
Kim Hill will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Chapel, 9428 Fourth St. SE, at Highway 9 and Fourth Street just south of Frontier Village.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
Lynnwood
Native American music and dessert
The American Indian Student Association at Edmonds Community College hosts a “Night of Native Music and Dessert” 7-9 p.m. today in Room 202 of the Triton Union Buiding at the college, 20000 68th Ave. W.
Performers include native flutist Arlie Neskahi, artist Paul Winter and violinist Richard Marshall.
The cost is $5, $3 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $2 for students.
Marysville
Joint workshop on comp plan set
The City Council and the Marysville Planning Commission will conduct a joint workshop 6-7 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 1049 State Ave. , to discuss the Marysville comprehensive plan and development regulations.
Following the workshop, the council will conduct its regular business meeting. The agenda includes a bid award for the 2005 concrete construction contract, information technology staffing and compensation, a multifamily recycling program, and a final design agreement for road construction on State Avenue from 116th Street NE to 136th Street NE.
Both meetings are open to the public.
Monroe
Housing group plans fundraiser
Housing Hope will have its first “Gathering of Hope” musical benefit concert and bake sale at 7 p.m. Saturday at Frank Wagner Middle School, 639 W. Main St.
The event benefits the nonprofit agency, which provides housing and services for homeless and low-income families in Snohomish County and Camano Island. Donations will be accepted at the concert. After the concert, a bake sale featuring homemade goods will follow.

Mukilteo
Yacht club plans Blake Island trip
Boaters are invited to join the Mukilteo Yacht Club on a cruise to Blake Island April 15-17.
The first night, the club will provide chili, and members will bring side dishes. The next day, visitors may attend the Tillicum Village dinner theater. The club also has activities planned for Saturday afternoon, as well as an evening bonfire.

Snohomish
City seeks input on traffic plan
The city plans an open house 4-6 p.m. April 18 at the Snohomish School District boardroom, 1601 Ave. D.
Residents may review and comment on a proposed network of streets to meet future growth of the Bickford Avenue corridor. The city has discussed the network since the Bickford Avenue area was annexed to the city in 2002.

Stanwood
Library opens late twice next week
The Stanwood Library will open two hours late Tuesday and again April 15 because of training for library staff. The library will open at noon both days.
Also, 11 a.m.-noon Saturday at the library, 9701 271st St., a program called “Outrageous Lies” will offer kids 5 to 11 years old music, poetry and tall tales.
