Fast start lifts Arlington to victory

ARLINGTON – David Griffiths (22 points) led the way for Arlington with 16 first-half points, including 14 in the first quarter, as the Arlington Eagles (3-4 overall) blasted Fife 92-59 Friday in a non-league contest.

Arlington out-scored Fife 30-8 in the first period.

“We jumped out to an early lead and held it the rest of the way,” Arlington assistant coach Joe Marsh said.

Teammate Stephan Devery added 13 points, nine of which were scored in the first quarter. Paul Swesey pitched in 15 points.

Kevin Cox lead the Trojan’s (1-6) with 20 points, including four 3-pointers.
