Here’s how some of your taxes were spent during recent city council actions.

Lynnwood: $409,725 to H&W Fire Apparatus of Hillsboro, Ore., for a new fire engine.

$29,404 to Northwestern Landscape Co. of Puyallup to plant trees along the improved portion of 176th Street SW between Olympic View Drive and Highway 99.

$10,000 split between Alderwood Middle School, Spruce Elementary School and St. Thomas More School for surface water education programs.

$2,177 for three fire officials to travel to Portland, Ore., March 1-3 for the Northwest Leadership Seminar.

Monroe: $2,215 to PC Mall Gov Inc. of Los Angeles for a laptop computer.

$107 to West Monroe McChevron &CW of Monroe to wash police vehicles.

$1,200 to Julia Janitorial Service of Sultan for custodial services.

Snohomish: $375 to the American Planning Association for annual membership dues.

$2,488 to Snohomish County PUD for electricity in October, November and December.

$27 to The Herald of Everett for advertising a public hearing.

Stanwood: $108 to Let’s Frame It of Stanwood for a frame for a portrait of former Mayor Herb Kuhnly.

$81 to Ovenell Backhoe Service of Stanwood for taking out a beaver dam between Larson Dam and the sewer treatment plant in December.

$2,216 to the Snohomish County Public Defenders’ Association in Everett to provide public defenders for suspects who request them.

$564 to Waste Management of Skagit County for garbage service in November.
