Each terrorist act justifies the next

Where will it end?
It has come down to this. Our support of the Shah in Iran began our support of Saddam Hussein once the Shah was overthrown. Our support of Hussein helped produce his reign of terror, the invasion of Kuwait and the first Gulf War. Our support of the anti-Soviet Mujeheddin in Afghanistan, followed by our total abandonment of that war-ravaged nation once the Soviets were beaten, allowed the Taliban and al-Qaida terrorists to exist. They produced September 11, which began our current Iraq fiasco for reasons only a few reality-deprived hard-liner neoconservatives in Washington D.C., even try to explain and has produced more terrorists.
That has produced the series of horrors in the rampage against democratic Lebanon, and on to the next as espoused by potential presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and his ilk pushing for an assault on our Constitution and an escalation of militarism sold under the self-fulfilling banner of World War III. It all serves to justify the next war, and the next, ad infinitum – like a rock thrown in calm water, the waves spread out seemingly fovever.
Is this neoconservative/Republican future what you want? Let’s consider impeachment first.
