Taking the oath means taking risks

Monday’s letter writer in my opinion is wrong. Two quotes come to mind: The first, ” The essence of war is violence. Moderation in war is imbecillity.” Unknown author. The second, from George Patton: “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.” Any person who does not believe these quotes should have never taken the oath or donned the uniform of the United States Armed Forces.

Those that have and now do not want to put themselves in harm’s way are nothing but cowards and are not worthy of the paycheck they receive and should be discharged in disgrace. Do your job or go back to your mother’s apron strings.
