Treatment saved alcoholic loved one

I was excited to read your article on the Tulalip Tribal Court promoting the drug Prometa for meth addiction. Although I have no direct contact with anyone being treated for this addiction, I personally have a family member who was treated for severe alcohol addiction.

He was administered Prometa in three intravenous sessions, followed up with the drug Campral, which he takes daily. I am happy to report that he has been alcohol-free for over 17 months. After years and years of his fighting this disease with several close fatal incidents, finally, a viable treatment has been developed to help what once was a futile disease.

I have been wondering why there has not been a huge advertising campaign regarding these two drugs. They have saved my loved one’s life and have given our family a great sense of peace.

Brochures on this treatment are available at Fairfax Hospital in Kirkland and I encourage anyone with an addiction problem, or who has a loved one with an addiction problem, to seek out this information.
