Restaurant helped event succeed

This past Veterans Day weekend, it didn’t take long to identify four community heroes who graciously sponsored my son’s scholarship fundraiser helping to raise funds for the Cpl. Steven Rintamaki Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Those four heroes are the co-owners of Taster’s Wok Restaurant on Highway 99 in Lynnwood, brothers John and Jim Fong and their wives, Mary and Sue. Especially helpful were the rest of the staff, the waiters, servers, hosts and the bartender, who did an exemplary job of keeping all the guests happy and well fed.

The “Foundation” partners with three organizations: the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, the University of Washington Alumnae Board and Homeless Children’s International. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to provide scholarships to young men and women helping them to achieve their potential. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success.
