Bethesda art show returns

In conjunction with Tour de Terrace, Bethesda Lutheran Church in Mountlake Terrace once again offers more opportunities for entertainment this weekend with its third annual Arts Festival.
The juried art show opens from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 27, prior to the Tour de Terrace parade. Free hot dogs will be served.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, the juried art show is open to the public all day. Arts &crafts vendors and free art projects for “the young at heart” are also featured. An open drumming circle kicks off the day’s entertainment, followed by belly dance with Misteria, eNergi!, a youth dance collective, and a benefit jazz concert for Action International Ministries performed by Lee Cronbach and the Bethesda Jammers.
From noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 29 the juried art show continues with a “Meet the Artist” reception from 2 to 4 p.m. The artist jury includes Northwest master painter William Cumming and Northwest artists Lyla Jacobson and Joe MacKechnie. Local photographers, Jean Kercheval and Lisa Haynes, will jury photography entries. The junior art show winners will be featured in a 2008 calendar publication.
