Mill Creek wins, advances to Little League World Series

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Derrick Mahlum hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning, Alec Kisena added a grand slam in the sixth and Mill Creek defeated Beaverton, Oregon’s Murrayhill team 10-1 Saturday at the Northwest Regional championship in San Bernardino, Calif.
Mill Creek moves on to the Little League World Series, which kicks off Friday in Williamsport, Pa. Mill Creek’s first game is Saturday against the Southwest champion, Lake Charles, Louisiana, at Lamade Stadium.
