Kids can boogie with the bears at “Safety Safari” from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo.

Youngsters can dance to music from a DJ’s booth, courtesy of Radio Disney 1250 AM, and win prizes at the North Meadow of the zoo near N. 59th Street and Phinney Avenue N. as they learn about safety. They can make identification cards for themselves, and put together an emergency safety kit to take home.

The event will feature information on first aid and CPR, seat belts and “Smile Safety” (dental care), among other things.

The prizes include Disney DVDs and CDs, and Safety Smart reflective flashers.

“Safety Safari” is free with zoo admission of $16.50 for ages 13 to 64 and $11 for ages 3 to 12; zoo members and kids ages 2 and under get in free. Details are at 206-548-2500 and www.zoo.org.
