An improved trailhead for Perry Creek Trail 711 is now located next to the Dickerman Trailhead along Mountain Loop Highway, 16 miles east of the Verlot Public Service Center and about a mile past the Perry Creek Road (Forest Service Road 4063, which is permanently closed to vehicles).

Construction expanded the parking lot, added a new toilet and a bulletin board.

The trail leads hikers just over a mile towards Perry Creek Falls and Mount Forgotten Meadows with views of Big 4 Mountain.
