Staff Pick: ‘Wheedle on the Needle’

With fall rains upon us, what could be better than to relax with a book about Seattle rain? It’s the 35th anniversary of the publication of “Wheedle on the Needle,” Stephen Cosgrove’s tale of a grumpy Sasquatch who climbs atop the Space Needle to escape the growing city. Wheedle dumps never-ending rain on residents, making them crabby. Cosgrove and illustrator Robin James will read at the Lynnwood Barnes and Noble at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.
