The city dedicated its new Northpointe Fitness Park on Saturday.
The city of Marysville installed nine stations of outdoor fitness equipment and added a new playground system to the 28-acre park at 70th Street and 74th Drive NE. The trail system in the park also was remodeled, including a new entrance on Grove Street.
The park improvements cost $22,600, paid for in part by a federal grant, according to the city. Trail improvements and signs were provided by Robert Viust of Marysville as his Eagle Scout project.
Stanwood: 68th Ave. NW project complete
Stanwood city officials plan to participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the 68th Avenue NW road and sidewalk project.
The event is set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday in front of Cedarhome Elementary School, 27911 68th Ave. NW.
The city received federal stimulus money that paid for street repair and extension, a safer entrance to the school and curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
