Lynx and snowshoe hare, predator and prey, will be the subjects of an entertaining show 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Northwest Stream Center at Snohomish County’s McCollum Park.
University of Washington Wildlife Science Professor Aaron Wirsing has been researching the beautiful big cats that roam the forests deep in the North Cascades, and will present a fun and educational show on their lives, including their favorite food, the elusive snowshoe hare, which leads a fast-paced life of its own.
Kids, fourth grade and up, and adults are welcome to this examination of the complex web of life in the woods. McCollum Park is at 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
Reserve a space by calling 425-316-8592. Admission $5 for Adopt-A-Stream Foundation members, $7 for others.
The event is sponsored by Snohomish County Parks and Recreation and the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation. Proceeds benefit Streamkeeper Academy.
