Who needs spell check? Not these kids

Emily Fogarty, a seventh-grader from Port Susan Middle School correctly spells out the word “windily” during the first round of the Regional Spelling Bee for King and Snohomish Counties at Town Hall in Seattle on Sunday.

Sarah Camerer, a seventh-grader from Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe, spells out the word “hibachi” in the first round.

The bee was won in the 18th round by Deanta Kelly of Washington Middle School in Seattle with the word “obfuscatory.”
