Swarm wins, will host Stealth in playoff opener

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Swarm defeated the Colorado Mammoth 12-8 at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, securing a home game against the Washington Stealth in the first round of the National Lacrosse League playoffs.

Minnesota finished the regular season with a record of 8-8 and tied for second place in the NLL’s West Division with the Stealth. The Swarm owned the tie-breaker with the Stealth, having beaten Washington in two of the three regular season games.

The playoff game is set for for next Saturday. Game time is 5:30 p.m. PDT.
