Large fireworks stash removed from Aberdeen home

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen police and firefighters said they have removed a large stash of fireworks from a south Aberdeen home.

Fire Battalion Chief Bill Mayne told KXRO-Radio firefighters assisted the police department as they served a warrant on the home Tuesday night.

The property management company had notified the department of suspicious activity at the building. Mayne said two truckloads of fireworks were removed from the building. He said the fireworks were all stored in one room of the home and had there been a fire, the effects could have been devastating.
