Health fair Saturday
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is hosting a free hands-on health fair from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the first floor concourse of the Cymbaluk Medical Tower, 1700 13th St.
Educational, interactive activities on a variety of health topics will be available at 31 booths. Surgeons will demonstrate a DaVinci surgical robot.
Flu shots will be available for $10 for ages 3 and up.
Cocoon House offers a benefit:
Entertainer John Curley will be the emcee and auctioneer at this year’s annual fundraiser for Cocoon House.
“An Evening in Silk” is planned for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Tulalip Resort, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., in Tulalip. They plan to offer dinner, an auction and desserts.
Cocoon House serves Snohomish County’s homeless youth by offering emergency housing, meals and support. Tickets are $75. For more information, visit www.cocoonhouse.org or call 425-259-3342.
Apply for grant: The City of Everett Cultural Arts Commission is accepting applications for cultural arts grants to pay for art programs and other projects.
The city has $20,000 available for programming grants, $20,000 available for capital grants as well as grants for waiving the rental fee at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Oct. 21.
