Remains of missing man found near Washougal

STEVENSON — Remains found by a property owner clearing brush last month near Washougal have been identified as a man who had been missing since 1980.

The Skamania County sheriff’s office said Kenneth P. Stovner, 39, lived about a half-mile away.

Investigators are still trying to determine how he died.
