Grateful to coworkers for care, concern

I would like to acknowledge the outpouring of support and compassion I’ve received from the Sheriff’s Office the past two weeks. Thank you to all the employees that communicated their concern and well wishes during and immediately following my release from the hospital.

In my position as undersheriff over the last five years, I have visited many of our injured employees and their families in hospitals. Just being present for a few minutes is often all that is necessary to insure they and their family members know we care. I never imagined that the day would come when I would be the one in a hospital bed with coworkers at my side. The experience has reinforced my belief that the deputies, officers and staff are truly part of a Sheriff’s Office family.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is a great organization full of great people who do great things every day. I am proud to have dedicated each of my 25 years in law enforcement to this agency and I look forward to continuing to serve for many years to come.
