Cowlitz coroner trying to ID 1988 drowning victim

LONGVIEW — Workers with the Cowlitz County coroner’s office dug up a grave at a Longview cemetery Wednesday and took some bones from an unidentified 1988 drowning victim.
The Daily News reported that DNA from the bones will be extracted in an attempt to identify the man.
Coroner Tim Davidson learned last week from a missing persons database that dental records suggested a possible identification.
