Students set an example for all

Your Tuesday article on teens experiencing the hardships and frustrations of the homeless, with the help of Volunteers of America association, was impressive and enlightening.

Nothing teaches a person more than having to endure for a weekend, week or whatever, what others have to do in order to survive, especially when times are tough and often through no fault of their own. The lessons these teens learned by this experience will help them in numerous ways, as they continue to grow.

Now I wish our Congress and all therein, would have to do the same thing in order to even be elected. Maybe, then, we could see something worthwhile getting accomplished by those high-priced, arrogant officials.
