Trump only as scary as followers

A recent letter expressed a fear of Donald Trump. Well, it’s not Trump that I am fearful of but the will of the of American people. It’s their attitude that‘s being mirrored by Trump. He has his finger on their pulse and merely utters what they want to hear. In a way, he’s cheating. I don’t believe for one minute that if he became president he would build a wall along the border or round up 12 million aliens and throw them out of the country. Nor does he really think that most of them are useless, murderers, rapists and drug addicts. No, he’s saying this because that’s what the masses want and think. And this reflects a growing sickness that is creeping into the minds of the American people which, to me, is more disturbing than Trump’s ravings.
