EVERETT — Two men were arrested and another hospitalized after a fight Friday in the parking lot of an Everett IHOP.
The incident was reported just before noon at 10301 Evergreen Way, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. Witnesses said they heard shots being fired and they reported that an electronic stun gun may have been deployed in the melee, before officers arrived. The witnesses also reported seeing a white Toyota Corolla drive off from the scene.
Police and medics responded. When they found the victim, he did not have a gunshot wound as was initially reported, Snell said. His injuries were not life-threatening. All three people involved were men who appeared to be in their 20s or 30s, Snell said.
Police quickly found the car connected to the incident, and the two occupants were arrested for investigation of assault and attempted kidnapping, Snell said. They allegedly had tried to force the victim into the car with them.
The car was impounded pending a search warrant, Snell said. No gun was found, and there was no confirmation of shots being fired, he said.
No additional details were provided Friday afternoon.
