Ride planned to promote use of bicycles on local roads

EVERETT — Cyclists are planning to meet at the city’s Grand Avenue Park at 10 a.m. Saturday to promote bicycle use on local roads.

The event is being organized by the nonprofit Everett Bicycle Collective. Participants plan to pedal down Colby Avenue to 41st Street and back along the same route. Helmets are required.

A goal of the ride is to promote building up local bicycle infrastructure.
