2 hurt in serious crash on Highway 9 near Maltby

MALTBY — Two drivers suffered serious injuries Friday morning in a crash on Highway 9, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Around 8:15 a.m., the driver of a southbound pickup truck tried to turn left onto 201st Street SE, trooper Heather Axtman said. The red truck collided with a northbound Chevrolet Suburban.
The Chevy rolled, and its driver suffered the more serious injuries, Axtman said.
Ambulances transported both drivers. Both are men.
Troopers shut down the road for an investigation.
The highway reopened around 11 a.m.
