More care should be used in high-speed police chases

On Dec. 11, just shortly after children had been dropped off on Ash Way there was a high-speed police chase. I watched the suspect car and the three Sheriff SUV’s blow past me. I couldn’t believe they lost sense of the fact this is a busy road with children alongside and how dangerous this really is.

I know police want to be the hero and for many they are but if someone gets hit and killed in this chase those officers will go from hero to zero real fast. I especially cringed because my brother was hit and killed walking to work in 1978 by a speeding patrol car.
