Refreshing to read community views in Herald Forum

I was happy to see the Herald Forum feature in Saturday’s Herald. It is refreshing to hear views from people in the community instead of being relegated to reading, (or not reading), the nauseating comments of party-driven, one-sided columnists who offer no constructive comment or information.

Hopefully there will be more essays from people like Sid Roberts, who in the few words of his piece on community discourse, was able to convey so much more than the usual compensated politically motivated columnists. Although print media seems to be more one-sided by the day, kudos to The Herald for allowing a sensible opinion to be published.
