Going into the final week of the regular season, it was thought that the top two Wesco 4A football teams would host Round of 32 playoff games.

Arlington, Glacier Peak and Lake Stevens — which all finished 5-1 in league — couldn’t decide it on the field as all shared the league title crown. It turns out the Washington State Football Coaches Association seeding committee though highly of all three as well, as each was awarded a home playoff game.

Monroe, the Wesco 3A South champ, will host a game, as well Northwest 2A co-champion Archbishop Murphy.

The Round of 32 games, featuring all six of Washington state’s Washington Interscholastic Activities Association districts, will take place Nov. 8-9 and will set the Nov. 15-16 state playoff bracket. Specific game times will be announced (see below), and this story will be updated.

Arlington, which defeated Lake Stevens on Friday night to claim a share of the league title, will host North Creek. Tahoma will travel to Lake Stevens. Glacier Peak, which beat Arlington on Oct. 18, will host Curtis, while Jackson will travel Graham-Kapowsin, which lost to Lake Stevens in last season’s state title game.

In the 3A Round of 32, Monroe will play Bellarmine Prep at home. Stanwood will visit Evergreen, while Shorecrest travels to No. 1 Bellevue.

Archbishop Murphy will host Bremerton or Washington in a 2A game, and Kalama will travel to King’s for a Class A matchup. Granite Falls will travel to Cashmere.

All games are winner to state, loser out. The state bracket will be seeded by the committee after Saturday’s games.
