No. 10 Kennedy 4, No. 7 Glacier Peak 2
PUYALLUP — The Grizzlies (17-6) were unable to overcome three runs scored by the Lancers in the top of the first inning.
Nos. 8 and 9 batters Kaleb Bishop and Matt Marquardt each went 2-for-3, while Emmett Brown and Kalell Chim drove in a run apiece.
No. 5 Snohomish walked off by No. 4 Decatur
AUBURN — After blanking No. 12 Peninsula 2-0, the Panthers (19-6) fell in the bottom of the seventh to Decatur, 2-1.
No. 13 Shorewood falls to Decatur
AUBURN — The No. 4 Gators scored six runs in the second inning — including a grand slam home run by Decatur’s Ethan Flavel — and Shorewood (19-6) was unable to fully recover in the loser-out game.
Lukas Wanke (2-for-3, RBI, 2 R) and Danny Morgan (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R, SB) led the Stormrays offense.
No 2. Kennewick 5, No. 15 Monroe 4
KENNEWICK — The Lions held on for victory in the loser-out game against the pesky Bearcats (15-9). Mike Enrico (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI) and Joe Enrico (RBI, R) combined to drive in three runs for Monroe.

TACOMA — The Warriors’ season came to an end in the second round on Friday.
No. 2 Shorewood advances to semifinals.

State Tournament
David Song and Samuel Song of Jackson High School each placed at state to lead area competitors. David Song paired with Andy Stark to place third in Class 4A doubles. The duo fell in the semifinals before responding with a win over familiar opponents.
Ashton Bergman — fresh off a state appearance with the Jackson baseball team, teamed with Arhan Sinha to place sixth with a loss to Song and Stark in a consolation final.
Samuel Song led area singles players with a fourth-place finish. The sophomore won his first match 6-1, 6-1 before falling in the in three sets in the second round. He responded with two consecutive wins in straight sets to claim a top-four finish.
Shorewood’s Seb Sanchez placed seventh in 3A, just ahead of Snohomish’s Jackson Fawcett, who finished eighth. Fellow Stormrays Riley Boyd and Eli Sheffield placed fifth with a doubles win over eighth-placed finishers Ashton Johnson and Zane Weber of Shorecrest.
No area girls tennis players placed at state.
