A daylight-basement rambler at the edge of John Sam Lake near Marysville is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 2005 and is on a .26-acre lot that includes a sandy beach.

The entire property is meticulously landscaped.

The home has two bedrooms plus a guest room, three full bathrooms and a downstairs family room or rec room.

A solid fir door at the front entry opens to a great-room incorporating a kitchen, living room and dining area.

The kitchen is to the immediate left of the entry area and is highlighted by oak flooring, natural cherry cabinets, laminate countertops, white-on-white appliances, recessed lighting, a breakfast bar, and a large window above the sink, facing the front yard and the street.

The living room and dining area are straight ahead from the entry. Features include pale neutral short-pile carpeting, a bay window facing a side yard and lake views, and a sliding-glass door that opens to a composite deck overlooking the lake.

A corner gas fireplace in the living room is trimmed with a granite tile hearth and surround, and a decorative wood mantel. There is a space above the fireplace to accommodate a large TV.

A hall to the right of the entry leads to a pantry closet, laundry room, owners’ suite, one bedroom and a full bathroom.

The laundry room has faux tile vinyl flooring, and a door accessing the home’s attached two-car garage, which includes a workbench.

Features of the suite’s bedroom include the same carpet as the living room, a walk-in closet, and a sliding-glass door accessing the deck.

The suite’s five-piece bathroom has vinyl flooring, an elongated double vanity made of oak and topped with tile, a jetted tub encased in tile beneath a window with lake views, and a corner shower with laminate surround.

Features of the other bedroom include a window overlooking a side yard, and a double closet with bifold doors.

The full bathroom is at the end of the hall and has vinyl flooring, an oversized single vanity topped with tile, and a shower-tub combination with faux tile fiberglass surround.

A switchback staircase in the living room descends to the finished daylight basement, which includes the family room, another full bathroom and the guest room. The family room has a sliding-glass door that opens to the back yard and lake.

The home has forced-air heat and is wired for a backup generator.
